After being beaten in a shootout on Tuesday night by the bad guys from Long Island, the hottest team in the East came into Nassau Coliseum, took the life out of the building early, leaned on Henrik the King to save their butts in the 2nd period, and smothered the Islanders in the 3rd.

SportsLink: WSU heads back home after Sweet 16 run
COUGARS As my pop used to say, no matter what, the sun will come up. And lo and behold, it did. Here about three hours early than in the Northwest, but rise it did. The Cougars are on their way back to Pullman, via charter jet to Lewiston. They should arrive on campus sometime after noon. The school is inviting fans to meet the team bus at Beasley Coliseum at 12:30, though the time seems to be a little fluid due to vagaries of travel.
